About

Molte Studio

The Story behind

Molte Studio began while I was living in Switzerland. Far from home, I felt a strong desire to stay connected to my roots in Sweden. What started as a personal project designing a Cloudberry light holder for my vanlife adventures has grown into a collection of Nordic-inspired objects for mountain homes and adventure lovers.

.
It wasn’t until I moved away that I fully realized the beauty of my home country. The magical northern lights and pastel-colored winter skies, the never-ending summer days, and the dark yet cosy winters.
.
Molte is here for moments of adventure, and for the days when you long for home. Like a hug from the North, or a gentle reminder to enjoy a cup of coffee after a sunny spring day in the Swedish mountains.

About the founder

I’m Frida Lindfors, a product developer and mechanical engineer originally from Luleå in northern Sweden, moving to Åre in June 2026 after spending nearly three years working as a Research and Development Engineer in the railway industry in Switzerland.
.
With a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, I’ve been recognized with the awards Most Innovative Thesis Work and Best Thesis Work in Jämtland Härjedalen (2019).
.
Starting in July 2026, I will be working full-time in my own company, Nordic Product Development AB. The company provides consulting services in product development and mechanical engineering for industrial clients, while Molte Studio serves as its design and product brand.
.
Creating products where design, functionality, and attention to detail come together is something I genuinely enjoy. When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me somewhere in the mountains.

design process

Every design begins with an idea inspired by Nordic nature, outdoor life, or everyday moments.
.
Combining Nordic design with engineering, each product is developed through sketching, prototyping, testing, and refinement. It can take months of iterations before a design feels ready.
.
Every piece is 3D printed, carefully inspected, and produced by me in Åre, Sweden.
